All research activities and work methods as well as hands-on training sessions are performed under the strictest safety and environmental control measures, using paint booths and protective clothing. Electronic paint matching systems are also used. Activities carried out in this Department include:
- Research into and development of methodologies for the application of a variety of refinishing systems, establishing work methods and procedures with the emphasis on quality and productivity.
- Experimental research in the ingredients and durability of paints and accessories with the aim of establishing controls to minimize waste in their application.
- Experimental research into new technologies applied to color matching in order to establish procedures to guarantee correct matching whatever the refinishing system.
